Join us Sunday, June 12th in lovely Lola's Room with live music from the Sunday Assembly band, inspiring sharing from your community, and a thought-provoking presentation by Moth Storytelling Champion, Samira Sahebi.
Samira will discuss how meeting another person who was displaced by war as a child changed her life. In 1992, she met Dr. Sam Oliner, a Holocaust survivor who focused his entire academic life on researching altruism and the power of privilege to change the world for the better. Join us for a discussion about recognizing our unique advantages and finding ways we can give more and enrich our own lives and the lives of others.
After the Assembly, mosey on downstairs to Ringlers for lunch and have a beer for Sunday Assembly Portland! 100% of all food and beverage sales go directly towards covering our costs.
Child care: Provided in the Wonder Club 10:45am - 12:45pm. Parents, see details here.
Food Drive: Each month, we can "help often" by supporting Team Relief with a food donation. Please bring donations of unexpired, unopened, canned or packaged food items to the donation table before the Assembly begins. Food items will be used to support those in our community who are in need.
