Join us Sunday, November 13th in lovely Lola's Room with live music from the Sunday Assembly band, inspiring sharing from your community, and a thought-provoking lecture by Leah Maurer, Outreach Manager for Yerba Buena Farms, one of Oregon’s first recreationally licensed cannabis businesses.
Child care: provided in the Wonder Club 10:45am - 12:45pm. Parents, see details here.
Food Drive: Each month, we can "help often" by supporting Team Relief with a food donation. Please bring donations of unexpired, unopened, canned or packaged food items to the donation table before the Assembly begins. Food items will be used to support those in our community who are in need.
About the Speaker:
Leah Maurer is a mom to 3 young boys who lives in Portland, Oregon. She was a founding member of New Approach Oregon, the organization that ushered in Measure 91, effectively legalizing cannabis in Oregon in November of 2014. Leah also founded Oregon Moms for Cannabis Law Reform (formally Moms for YES on Measure 91), is one of the owners of TheWeedBlog.com and is the Branding and Outreach Manager for Yerba Buena Farms, one of Oregon’s first recreationally licensed cannabis businesses. Additionally, she helped launch and co-chairs Portland's Women Grow chapter. At the core, though, Leah is a cannabis legalization activist and hopes to see the prohibition of cannabis end on a federal level, and to see the cannabis conversation normalized across America.
